Jumping back into the ocean today after taking time off for my injury felt like giving a hug to a friend I hadn't seen in a while. And then, there was the irony. I was heading out for a surf session with a friend I wasn't going to see for six months. My wonderful friend Roberta spends her time between San Diego and Vancouver, but it is time for her to exchange her sandals and surfboard for boots and a snowboard. So long dear friend, see you soon!
